Hand-Painting Antique or Primitive Furniture is a true joy! Folk Art has always been my first love and when I discovered I could add a "Primitive" twist to it I knew I had found my niche! Taking old, tossed out and forgotten Antique and Primitive pieces make for interesting and one of a kind canvases! Pennsylvania Dutch Fraktur's have always captivated me and I try to incorporate that simplistic yet dynamic work into many of my painted Primitive finds. Always evolving, its not too often you will find me without a paint brush near by!

This angel is done
in acrylic and painted on an antique bread board. The
Eiffel tower is seen ever so slightly on the left hand side of the
painting. It signifies “the City of Lights” which, of course is Paris.
If you have ever been there the sight is absolutely over whelming! I
can imagine angels flying around the top of the tower looking down on
the streets of cobblestone. It measures 37" x
18&1/2". Quite large! It was then
distressed, antique and sealed. CJ has also signed and dated this
piece. |
