Vintage "Nesting Series"¯ Boxes
Vintage German Slips I personally hand carried these beautiful vintage German slips back with me from Germany. Living in Europe has certainly afforded me wonderful opportunities and the ability to purchase some rare and unique items. These types of vintage slips are all the rage in NY and San Francisco, and of course, over-seas. Young women are pairing them with jeans, leggings and skirts to create a comfortable and easy look. Remember that these were originally made to fit loose and will have to be bunched if worn with a belt. These slips are made with 100% crisp cotton. Because these are vintage there may be a few flaws or very minor stains. These will always be indicated where necessary. Note: Measurements are taken of each individual slip while laying flat.
This German slip measures
19"¯ at the bust, 22"¯ at the waist and measures 40"¯ from top of strap to hem.
The initials E.M are embroidered at the top.
This short-sleeved German
slip has a pretty embroidered/applique of flowers at the neckline.
Measures 19"¯ at bust, 20"¯ at waist and 40"¯ from shoulder to hem.
There is a very small rust colored smudge at the bottom of the hem about 1"¯
long and 1/8"¯ wide. (very small) I am sure it is something Oxi-clean would
remove.
What a cozy, soft and
warm gown this is! Heavy 100% cotton, this should keep you very warm on
those cool nights. Look at the detail on the collar! Measures 24"¯ at
bust,26"¯ at the waist, 48"¯ from shoulder to hem and the sleeves measure 22"¯
long. There is a tiny rust colored mark near the left breast about the size
of a width of a pencil mark but then again, nothing that I am sure Oxi-clean
could not remove. Un-noticeable actually.
What a beautiful
neckline! This slip measures 22"¯ at bust, 23&1/2"¯ at waist and is 40"¯ long
from shoulder to hem. The straps actually button at the shoulder!
This is a very tiny slip
but cute as they come with a gathered detail at the waist! This one measures
16"¯ at bust, 18"¯ at waist and is 32"¯ long. This probably belonged to a
child.

Vintage Key Necklace and Earrings
This
is the first in the series of boxes are part of my "Nesting Series"¯ and all
will contain a painted egg in a nest. Every egg has been researched and
painted as realistically
as possible matching it with the type of bird it represents. These boxes are
a LIMITED SERIES so if you see one you like....well, you know the
saying...grab it while you can! All are signed and numbered and each box is a
one-of-a-kind. As always my boxes are finished inside and out so they
can be used to hold whatever your heart desires or given as gifts. The paper
used is not vintage, but rather vintage looking. All
papers used are also slightly scented with a fresh, clean, "fresh out of the
garden"¯ scent. This box has been through a 7 step process of measuring,
tearing, painting, antiquing, and sealing to bring it to its final beauty.
This box contains a reproduction Mockingbird egg-not in size but rather in
color. Their eggs can be a bluish color to a sage green spattered with tiny
flecks of black and brown. The nest is gently cradled by green moss. The buttons that adorn the lid are old, and new, and permanently attached. Vintage lace is used, when available (or simple ribbon) and is tied around the box as an added touch.
